TG provides benefits that include paid time off, paid holidays, insurance, a 401(k) plan, and tuition reimbursement to our full-time employees.
Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays
All TG employees accrue paid time off starting on their date of hire. Full-time employees accrue leave at the rate of 12 hours per month, and the rate increases as employees gain tenure in the company. TG recognizes 11 paid holidays per year. In addition, employees may use eight hours per quarter for volunteer opportunities.
TG offers health insurance coverage through UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus. This PPO plan features access to an expansive network of providers and gives participants the freedom to see any healthcare professional from the network, including specialists, without a referral. Coverage is also available outside of the network.
Dental insurance coverage, offered through UnitedHealthcare Dental, includes comprehensive coverage using a network of participating dentists. Coverage is also available outside of the network.
Vision insurance, offered through Davis Vision, provides network and non-network benefits for eye exams and materials for a modest copayment. A discount plan extends the value of covered benefits when used at select providers.
Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
TG provides no-cost life insurance coverage in the amount of twice an employee’s annual salary. The employee’s spouse and children also get no-cost life insurance benefits in the amount of $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.
TG provides Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage in the amount of twice an employee’s annual salary.
Voluntary supplemental life insurance is available for a premium that varies depending on an employee’s age and the amount of coverage desired.
Life and AD&D insurance coverage is offered through The Hartford.
TG offers Long-Term Disability insurance at no cost to employees. Coverage provides for monthly benefits of the lesser of $7,500 or 60 percent of salary after 90 days of continuous disability.
Long-Term Disability insurance coverage is offered through The Hartford.
Critical Illness and Accident Insurance
Critical Illness insurance provides lump-sum cash benefits to assist with out-of-pocket expenses associated with a critical illness. Accident insurance provides cash benefits for expenses associated with an accidental injury. Critical Illness and Accident policies are offered through Allstate Insurance.
Pre-Tax Dependent Care and Medical Expense Reimbursement Accounts
Employees can set up accounts to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for dependent care and medical expenses by making payroll contributions on a pre-tax basis. Eligible expenses can be incurred by members of your tax family and include premiums and copayments. Prepaid debit cards are available to give employees easy access to dependent care and medical expense accounts.
TG offers a generous 401(k) plan. In fact, TG’s retirement plan was recognized as a Best in Class 401k Plan for 2017 by PlanSponsor, a leading organization for retirement benefits professionals.
TG encourages employees to seek educational opportunities. The company reimburses up to 75 percent of tuition, fees, required books, and course-related expenses for any full-time employee enrolled in an eligible degree program. Employees are eligible for educational benefits after six months of employment.
Employee Assistance Program
TG employees can seek free counseling for hardships such as family and marital distress, alcohol problems, drug abuse, and depression or anxiety. Legal referrals and financial counseling are also available. Help from the Employee Assistance Program is completely confidential and no record of individual employee involvement is ever made available to Human Resources or any other party within TG.
